Squiddle the Baby Kraken by Groovy-Gecko Squiddle the Baby Kraken by Groovy-Gecko
Not bad for my first (completed) amigurumi project. Isn't he the cutest?

I'm very tempted to make more...

Note: The wool doesn't change colour, it was just the camera/my mobile. :P

This is my favourite! I love the shade of purple. You should really sell these, I'd definitely buy one! :)

Nice color effect from your phone. (And yes some types of squid do change color too. So your mobile is rather accurate to some degree.)

Overall cute crochet project. I wish my stepmother would make stuff like this sometimes instead of her usual afghan quilts.

Do they? That's awesome! :D

And thanks! :D My mum got me a book where I learnt to crochet…but after the basics, it only gives you blanket projects! :XD I ignore those and just find patterns of amigurumi online. :)

The Amigurumi patterns seem to work just fine for you. I say stick with them; they can be better than blankets and if you make enough of those crochet animals, then maybe you could try to sell some online.

:D That was one of the intentions. I mean, not many people want blankets these days. :P The second intention was to have a possibility of making stop motion puppets out of these for my course.

Nah, it will be a mixture of animals and creatures and things. :) Crocheting is stupidly addictive...
(I honestly forgot about crocheting mythical monsters…may have to do a unicorn. :P) I found the pattern to make a young kraken and fell in love with the result.
